All labours undone
Could not deter me ever
From the deepest sleep
Tag: night
covert
Covert silhouette
Barely a hue against the dim light
An outline appears
acquaintance
A mere acquaintance
Hindsight makes me long for change
Restful sleep no more
swiftly
We fly so swiftly
Yet the cold moon pursues us
So relentlessly
gossamer
A gossamer veil
Adorns such a demure face
Cloaks the gentle moon
alertness
A flash of anger
Alertness in lieu of sleep
A yowl is now heard
wait
The chill does not wait
For the last rays of sad light
Feeble, to set in
yawns
We go to our sleep
Fighting with our stifled yawns
Until we succumb
fog
Oppressive it hangs
Yet falters at the distance
Out of thickest fog
nothingness
Gentle nothingness
As enveloped as I am
By blanket and night
